REALLY enjoyed this take on “Oh, The Places You Will Go” by Dr. Seuss. The last book written before his passing. I love how the people attending Burning Man captured the mood and spirit if it.

Simpley Bad Assed!
MS Mother Road Ride 2011
It started out driving through the rain to get to the start. The rain subsided and we were on our way out of downtown Tulsa by 7am. Within the first 6 miles, there were a few bikers that did some face plants on a railroad crossing that was more like an ice rink. No major injuries, but many a bruised egos.
Throughout the ride, I was pushing a great average of 18-22 mph pace. That is, between the many flats that were out in force for the entire route. I replaced 5 tubes and two tires before relenting a mere 10 miles from the end. Frustrated, I made it back alive.
The experience last year was great (no flats) though I truly felt my riding has improved greatly since then. I am definitely in better shape. Top it off, it’s such a great cause and great people. Wonderful experience to be a part of. Next year’s ride will be GLORIOUS! (and hopefully with less flats).

How Are You Reached?
One thing that I do a lot in my marketing with clients and also speeches is talk about how to be reached. Better, how you can reach me. Today’s world is more about how each individual best responds to communication attempts. For me, I like email, text, email and if you have to, leave a voicemail that I won’t check for at least a day or so and I might call you back.
That being said, how do you like to be reached? Better, how are you letting people know how best to reach you?
The Sharable Future of Cities
Realistically I am one that understands the gap between alternative energy and current fossils. What does fascinate me is the foreseeable future of cities and the rapid urbanization of the world. Really enjoyed the following talk by Alex Steffen on the TED ipad app.
